Can you hear those
sounds in the night?
I thought I was dying.
Can you hear those
sounds in the night?
I thought I was dying alone.
Well she breathes in all day
and in the end
we can see the stars.
Can you hear those
sounds in the night?
I thought I was dying.
Can you hear those
sounds in the night?
I thought I was dying alone.
Well she breathes in all day
and in the end
we can see the world
going by.

Now hey, you
Don't be afraid now, you
There'll come a new moon, too
'Round here.
Now hey, you
Come close now, you
There's room to grow, here, too
Hey, you
Well I've been waiting here for too long
Just to once again see the sun
I'm counting on every day
But they're turning into years
And I'm waiting here for too long
Just to once again see the sun
I'm counting on every day
They're turning into years
Hey, you
Don't be afraid now, you
There'll come a new moon, too
'Round here
Hey, you
Come close now, you
There's room to grow, here, too
Hey, you
Hey, you
Don't be afraid now,you
There'll come a new moon, too
'Round here
Hey, you
Hey, you

Whatever, Over, Gone
03:28
|
|||
Because my voice makes you cringe,
I'll sing louder than ever before.
When your self-interested self gets there,
I won't be anywhere near.
You could've asked for anything.
But I probably wouldn't have been there.
Times have changed, and I'm happy for that;
God am I ever.
You could have been anything.
Good thing you threw it away.
Direct all your hate unto me.
It's something I love to tolerate.
Because my voice makes you cringe,
I'll sing louder than ever before.
And when my hope finally dies,
it won't be your fault.
You don't deserve a fucking song about you.
Yeah, I never sang your name.
I'm glad you understand you're not
anything.

The Night
02:20
|
|||
Do you remember the night
By the shoreline
Watching headlights pass gently by
And we laid on our sides
And talked through the night
But god were we ever so young
So long ago the memory is hardly hanging on
But I've got to try to retain what i can
Do you remember the night
We walked through the town
Not a sight or sound or voice or another person around.
And we looked to the sky
Trying to find
Another answer in the night
But what we couldn't find
Was a reason to be
And I don't know why that's the hardest question of all.
And I don't know why we'll never satisfy our needs, now.
No, no.
Do you remember the night?
I'm sure I do

Casting Down
06:18
|
|||
Thoroughly well, though the moment was striking
the sun and its rays all pouring out
on the mid-day idea of all the sorrowful ones we've met.
All through the evening the sky was so clearly enticing and giving in to a playful demand of the caretaking notion of everything we've come to know
Then you will be mine until the day we find ourselves floating around in the depth of the death we cannot avoid, strike up another and tell me a secret
We have all night
Waiting in the backseat
The moon is so bright
Sadfully looking down
On our little lakeside town
The thorough condition of everyone's envy is always so present and everyone attempted to hide the simpleness between every pleasure we found
and now that it's over I'm so sure I'm sorry
For everything.
I can't believe we still hold on, we still hold on
You know that it's nothing
You know this season escapes from my hand
The sky was so brave
The waves cast me down
And then life
Was a moment disguised by
Every feeling we've had
Descended from the air
And fell among us
We lifted our hands in the dead of the summer and tried to put some light into all of this
And the day breaks with me
The entrance of disgust into every passion
but you had effort to display the courage of all things that you told me
I never know quite what to say
And all of us were still alive in the morning
But we hadn't found what we were looking for
Or acting upon
And your heart is full of me
At least today it's obvious
You're clear, you're light, you're pure.
I would stay here forever under the condition that
Nothing would ever change.
But you let the sun out again.
But you let the sun out again.

There is a Light
05:08
|
|||
(There is a light...)
There is a light beaming from above
Brighter than the stars
But I haven't found it yet.
There is a light beaming from beyond
Brighter than the sun
But I haven't found it yet.
There is a light beaming from above
That everyone's found
But not I...
There is a light brighter than the stars
Shining from everyone
I hope it stays warm
There is a light
that remains,
it will stay
'til we lay ourselves down
and we die
leave this place
float above the earth
in a circular imaginary world.
I know it hurts,
to think we'll be gone
forever.
There is a light shining from above,
brighter than the stars.
But I haven't found it yet.
There is a light brighter than the sun,
that everyone's found,
but not I.
There is a light brighter than the stars
beaming from above
I know.
There is a light, there is a light, there is a light.
xxx Guitar interlude
There is a light beaming from above
And I swear it's not god
It's this life we've found
There is a light
And it's warm
And we're all holding on
I know
There is a light... brighter than the stars... beaming from beyond... and in your touch...
There is a light, beaming from above
Shining on everyone
But we hardly know at all.
There is a light, beaming from above.
